Furever Friends Rescue
We are a multi-service rescue for Appanoose County, Iowa. We provide humane care for dogs that are relinquished, abused, abandoned, and are found stray in Appanoose County and the areas we serve.
We hope to find compassionate people to either adopt or foster these dogs so that they can find their FUREVER home.

This is Clyde. Clyde was found running the streets, so we took him in and posted him in hopes that his owner would claim him. After two weeks went by and nobody claimed him, we learned that he is deaf. He is the sweetest boy. He loves to play with toys and absolutely loves people. He never goes to the bathroom in his kennel and rarely barks unless new people walk past his kennel.
Training- Clyde would do best with learning hand signals and a light to help catch his attention.

Would you like to help Clyde get his very own home? Come out between 9am and 3pm to spend time with Clyde. You can take him for a walk, sit in our meet and greet room with him, or even ask about taking him on an outing for the day. We encourage taking pictures of him and or with him to help spread the word about him. Feel free to send the pictures to us or even tag us in your posts with the pictures!
Doggie Daycare
My fur-baby needs attention while I am at work. Who will take them potty? Who will feed and provide water? Who will love them when I am away?

We offer early drop offs with late pick-ups.

Boarding
Vacations and extended time from home is supposed to be relaxing. But who can relax when you are worried about your fur-baby?
Let our boarding service be the answer.
Let us take of your furry family member(s) while you enjoy the time away knowing that your pet is being taken care of and loved until you return!
Vaccines must be up to date at least a week before their stay to ensure the health of yours and our dogs. Please bring in a copy of their records with you so we can put it on file for their stay and any future stay.

The second Tuesday of each month means it's the Paws and Pints Trivia Night at the Pit Pony Pub and Eatery.
Great food and drink specials, plus it's got the competitive action of FUN! The electronic trivia is addictive. It will keep you and your friends entertained, but you can also take a break to eat and drink. A perfect way to get you through the work week. Call us or check our Facebook for more info.
